The article analyzes scientific research conducted to improve the efficiency of equipment for separating heavy impurities from cotton. To reduce the damage to the seeds of raw cotton, the leavening and guiding device of the improved stone catcher was made of rods, which is installed at the entrance of the equipment. In addition, the pocket design has been changed to capture heavy impurities.
