Abstract

Liquidity risk management is a critical component of the operational and financial stability of commercial banks. In Uzbekistan, where the banking sector is undergoing rapid transformation, effective liquidity management practices are essential to mitigate financial risks, maintain regulatory compliance, and enhance competitiveness. This article examines the key strategies employed by commercial banks in Uzbekistan to address liquidity risk, focusing on regulatory frameworks, risk measurement tools, and adaptive financial strategies. Additionally, the study highlights the challenges faced by banks, including economic volatility, limited access to foreign capital, and the evolving digital banking landscape. Recommendations for improving liquidity risk management practices in Uzbekistan’s commercial banks are also provided, emphasizing the integration of advanced financial technologies and adherence to international best practices.
