Abstract

The decarbonization of the energy sector is a critical step toward achieving sustainable development and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This study examines the prospects for integrating renewable energy sources (RES) into industrial enterprises, using "O'zbekiston milliy elektr tarmoqlari" Joint Stock Company as a case study. The research analyzes the current energy consumption structure, identifies key barriers to RES implementation, and explores potential solutions for enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability. Special attention is given to technological, economic, and regulatory aspects of transitioning to renewable energy. The findings suggest that a strategic combination of solar, wind, and hybrid energy solutions can significantly contribute to reducing carbon emissions and improving the environmental and economic performance of industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan.
