The article describes the advantages and disadvantages of solar power plants. The prospects of solar energy are discussed. Explains the principles of operation of alternative solar power plants. An opinion was expressed that the share of alternative energy sources in the global energy resource consumption is increasing day by day. The advantages and disadvantages of the materials necessary for the production of electricity of solar power plants are stated.
